About this product
Households on a borehole that needs a little more lift than the smallest pump will give are the market for the Dayliff D3SP1-27. It is the higher rated of the two D3SP1 models, a slim three inch submersible multistage centrifugal pump intended for small scale supplies from boreholes and wells.
Wet end construction is engineering plastic impellers and diffusers with brass inlet and outlet chambers inside a stainless steel pump sleeve. The pump is coupled to a sealed two pole motor with copper windings, itself built mainly from stainless steel. Cable and a separate control unit are supplied with every pump, the control unit carrying an isolator, run indicator light, thermal overload protection and a start capacitor for direct connection to mains power. Where voltage swings are a known problem, Dayliff advises fitting an AVS or similar power protection controller as well.
It is used for domestic and small institutional borehole supply, well abstraction on farms, and tank filling ahead of gravity distribution.
