Dayliff DCX2 50P High Pressure Petrol Engine Pump

A second impeller is what separates the DCX2 from the single impeller build in Dayliff's DCX range of portable high pressure pumps. The DCX2 50P is the petrol engined version, aimed at the high head end of the range's work: lifting water to elevated storage, fire fighting and pressurised irrigation.

The pumps are of self priming closed impeller centrifugal design, with body and impellers cast from high grade aluminium. Quick couple suction and inlet connectors and a strainer are supplied, and the unit is mounted in a sturdy carrying and protection frame. Petrol models use an air cooled single cylinder overhead valve engine with transistorised ignition, built in oil alert and recoil start. Dayliff points out that its performance curves assume the governor set for maximum rated power, and that for extended duty the throttle should be wound back to roughly three quarters, with performance reduced accordingly.

It is used for high head transfer to hilltop tanks, fire fighting reserves, and irrigation lines that need pressure at the sprinkler.
