About this product
Listed by the supplier at 1HP, the Dayliff DDC 158 is the standard build in Dayliff's DDC family of centrifugal non self priming closed impeller pumps, sitting between the lighter Econo version and the larger DDC 170. Published Dayliff data does not break this exact listing out on its own, so no performance figures are quoted here.
What the family shares is a cast iron pump body with a brass impeller, close coupled to a TEFC electric motor designed for continuous operation and protected by a thermal cutout against electrical overload. The motor connects directly to the mains through a fuse or MCB. As a non self priming design, the pump wants a flooded suction or a primed line, and it handles thin, clean, chemically non aggressive water.
Usual duties are pressure boosting within a building, transfer from ground storage to roof tanks, and general water supply on domestic and small commercial premises.
