Dayliff DDV60 Vibration Pump for Domestic Wells

The Dayliff DDV well pump is an unusual design of submersible pump, made specifically for water supply from domestic wells. Rather than spinning an impeller, it works by positive displacement through a vibrating diaphragm, an arrangement that is efficient at this scale and copes with the light silt loads a hand dug or shallow well tends to carry.

Construction is compact and robust. The pump body is aluminium throughout with a rubber diaphragm, and the unit comes apart easily for maintenance, which matters on a pump that will be pulled up and cleaned from time to time. Installation is by suspension on a rope in the well, so no rising main support structure is needed. The motor is continuously rated and should be connected to a single phase supply through a fuse or MCB. Pumped water should be thin, clean and sweet, carrying no more than light silt.

It is used for household supply from wells, filling storage tanks, and small garden watering.
