About this product
Silt, leaves and fibrous debris defeat most small drainage pumps. The Dayliff DDW 750V answers that with a vortex impeller, which spins the liquid rather than passing it through a tight impeller passage, so solids travel through the pump instead of blocking it. It is the version of the DDW range to specify for dirty sumps, pond bottoms, drainage channels and post storm clean up.
The pump casing, suction base and impeller are moulded from high strength engineering plastic for corrosion resistance and easy handling. An external float switch is provided for automatic operation, and the union connected outlet accepts a threaded or hose connection. Ten metres of waterproof power cable are included. Power comes from an integral non-overloading induction motor built for continuous operation, with a thermal cut-out in the winding, connected directly to a single phase supply through a 10A fuse or MCB.
Common applications are site and basement dewatering, emptying silted tanks and ponds, fountain and water feature service, and general transfer of water that carries a solids load.
