Dayliff DS 2/9 Borehole Pump with Motor and Control Box

Supplied complete with its capacitor start winding motor and matching control box, the Dayliff DS 2/9 is a submersible pump from the DS 2 series, designed specifically for borehole water supply. The 2 series is the narrow, low flow end of the DS range, suited to domestic and small institutional boreholes where a steady daily supply matters more than volume.

The pump is of multistage centrifugal impeller design, and its parts are made from stainless steel with water lubricated rubber bearings, a construction chosen to resist the corrosion and wear of continuous immersion. A submersible motor sits beneath the pump, with suction taken through a strainer between the two, and the motor itself is a sealed, liquid cooled, oil filled asynchronous squirrel cage type in stainless steel. Because this is a single phase set, the purpose designed control box is included; it houses the starting and protection components and connects to the mains supply. A Dayliff electronic pump controller is recommended alongside it for fuller protection against dry running, motor overload and irregular power supply.
