Dayliff DS 5/8 Borehole Pump with Motor and Control Box

Boreholes serving a household, a farm or a small institution are the work the Dayliff DS 5/8 is built for. It comes as a set: the submersible pump, its capacitor start winding motor and the purpose designed control box that a single phase installation requires. The 5 series carries a higher flow than the 2 series at a given head, which suits properties with storage tanks to fill or several draw off points.

Construction is multistage centrifugal, with all pump parts in stainless steel and water lubricated rubber bearings. The motor mounts beneath the pump and is a sealed, liquid cooled asynchronous squirrel cage design, also in stainless steel, with suction drawn through a strainer between motor and pump. The control box provides the starting and protective components and wires directly to the mains. For fuller protection, Dayliff recommends adding an electronic pump controller, which covers wireless low level detection, motor overload and irregular power supply.

Borehole drillers, plumbers and farm managers install pumps of this series for domestic supply, livestock watering, irrigation storage and small commercial premises.
