About this product
Smallest of the DSD 3 series, the Dayliff DSD 3/7 is a submersible multistage centrifugal pump for domestic and small scale water supply from shallow wells and boreholes, and it is offered here with a float switch so the pump shuts down when the level drops rather than running dry.
The pump is assembled from polycarbonate impellers and diffusers, cast iron delivery and suction chambers, and stainless steel pump housing, shaft and shaft coupling. Those polycarbonate impellers are the reason the range copes with a sand content that would shorten the life of a metal impeller pump. Below the pump sits a sealed, liquid cooled asynchronous squirrel cage motor in stainless steel. On a single phase supply the pump should be run through a Dayliff SCM control box, giving starting plus protection against overload, dry running and over or under voltage.
Homes on a hand dug well or a shallow borehole, kitchen gardens, livestock troughs and small guest houses are typical duties for this size.
