Cordless kits are built around the charger as much as the tool, and a second unit is worth having: one on the bench, one in the van, so a discharged pack is never the reason work stops. This charger runs from a 220-240V supply at 50 or 60Hz and delivers 20V at 2A to EMTOP 20V battery packs.

It is the same charger packed with the 20V drills, drivers, blowers, trimmers and saws in the range, which makes it the correct replacement when the original has been damaged on site or left behind at a previous job. Keeping a spare also lets a two-battery kit run continuously, with one pack charging while the other is in the tool.

Contractors running several 20V tools, hire companies maintaining fleets, and workshops that share batteries across a team are the usual buyers, as are households whose original charger has been misplaced during a move. Charging from ordinary mains means the unit works anywhere there is a socket, including from a small generator or inverter on a site without a permanent supply. It is supplied in a colour box.
