Households and smallholdings drawing from a borehole need a pump sized to the depth of water, not simply the biggest available. This EMTOP 4 inch deep well pump is the entry point of the range at 370W, half a horsepower, lifting to a maximum head of 48 metres.

Water passes through a six stage impeller, each stage adding pressure so the pump can push a steady flow up a long column rather than relying on one wheel. Maximum flow is 6.0 cubic metres per hour through a 1-1/4 inch discharge. The motor is wound with copper wire and the pump body is stainless steel, a combination chosen for continuous immersion in a 4 inch bore. Twenty metres of cable are fitted, so the wellhead connection can be made without an early joint. The control box is not included.

Use it for domestic boreholes, small farm and irrigation supply, livestock watering, school and clinic water systems, and topping up storage tanks.
