Set up for base coats and primers, this air spray gun carries a 1.5mm standard nozzle, the size normally chosen for heavier-bodied paints that need to build film quickly. Panel beaters, furniture finishers, metal fabricators and joinery shops use it as the first gun in a two-gun set-up, leaving a finer nozzle for the top coat.

Paint capacity is 400cc, a practical pot size for panels, doors, frames and small batches where mixing a full litre would be wasteful. The fan lays down a pattern 180 to 250mm wide and the gun works at 3 to 4 bar, consuming 4.2 to 7.1cfm, so the compressor needs to keep up rather than be especially large. Optional nozzles between 1.2 and 1.8mm can be fitted when the coating changes. European, American, Nitto and Italian connectors are all supplied, so the gun matches whatever hose fitting is already on the bench.

Typical work includes vehicle repair, gates and railings, agricultural equipment, and refinishing timber furniture.
