Where the base coat gun lays down build, this one is set up for the finish. A 1.4mm standard nozzle atomises top coats, lacquers and thinner finishes finely enough to flow out without orange peel, which is why refinishers keep a separate gun for the job.

The 600cc paint pot holds enough material for a full panel or a run of doors, and the fan covers 180 to 250mm per pass. Working pressure is lower than a primer gun at 2 to 3.5 bar, with air consumption of 4.2 to 7.1cfm. Optional nozzles from 1.3mm to 2.5mm let the same gun be pushed into heavier coatings when needed. All four connector types, European, American, Nitto and Italian, are included so it can be coupled to an existing hose without hunting for an adaptor.

Vehicle refinishing, sprayed joinery, metal gates and furniture are the usual applications, along with any job where the visible finish is what the customer is paying for.
