EMTOP Aviation Snips 250mm Left Right Straight Cut

Sheet metal work needs a snip that follows the line rather than fighting it, which is why aviation snips come in three cutting patterns. This EMTOP range covers all three: left cut for curves turning anticlockwise, right cut for curves turning clockwise, and straight cut for long runs and gentle sweeps. Roofers, HVAC installers, panel beaters and metal fabricators normally keep at least two.

Every pattern measures 250mm (10 inch) and handles carbon steel up to 1.2mm thick and stainless steel up to 0.7mm. Compound leverage in the jaws means the cut is made with hand pressure alone through mabati and ducting gauge sheet. The left and right snips carry a three-tone soft handle, while the straight cut version uses a two-tone soft handle, both shaped to reduce pressure across the palm during repeated cuts.

Typical work includes trimming roofing sheet and flashings, cutting ducting and gutter sections, shaping brackets and trim, opening panels during repair, and general fabrication in the workshop.
