Two jobs sit in one machine here: line trimming for grass and a 3T blade for bush and scrub. The ELMR202523 runs on 40V made up from two 20V packs and uses a brushless motor, which suits groundsmen, landscapers, schools and compounds where a petrol machine is more noise and maintenance than the site calls for.

Speed is selectable between 5000 and 6500rpm to match the load. On line, the head cuts a 330mm swathe using 2.0mm round line with 5 metres supplied on the spool; with the 3T blade fitted the cutting diameter is 255mm for woody growth a line will not touch. The outfit includes safety goggles, PU coated gloves and a shoulder strap, plus two 4.0Ah battery packs and a dual-port charger running from 220-240V.

Put it on verges and fence lines, around trees, poles and gravestones, on compound perimeters, and on light bush clearance where the ground is uneven and a mower cannot follow.
