A torch that runs on the same battery as the drill is the one that is always charged. This 12V work light puts out 100 lumens, enough to light a distribution board, an engine bay, a ceiling void or the underside of a vehicle while both hands stay on the job.

Because it draws on the 12V packs already used by the drills and drivers in the range, there are no separate cells to buy and nothing to go flat in a drawer between power cuts. It is light to carry and small enough to live in the tool case rather than being left in the van, which is what makes it useful when a job runs past dusk or a building loses supply.

Electricians, mechanics, plumbers, security installers and maintenance teams all keep one in the kit. Battery and charger are sold separately; the light is supplied in a plastic bag as a bare tool for owners of the 12V platform.
