About this product
Every EMTOP submersible borehole pump needs a control box matched to its motor, and this one is built for the EWPPD05501. It houses the starting gear for the pump and gives the installer a single point at the surface for switching and protection.
The box works from a 220-240V, 50Hz supply and provides over-current protection, cutting power if the motor draws abnormal current. That is the safeguard against a seized impeller, a dropped phase or a sagging supply quietly cooking a motor that nobody can see. Because the electronics sit above ground, a fault in the box can be dealt with in minutes rather than by lifting the pump.
Order it alongside a new EWPPD05501 installation, or as the correct replacement where the original box has been damaged by surge, water ingress or age. Fit it in a dry, ventilated position and keep the terminals covered.
