About this product
This is the surface control box specified for the EMTOP EWPPD07501 deep well pump. Borehole pumps ship without one, so it should go on the order with the pump, and it is equally the part to replace when an existing box has failed.
Powered from 220-240V at 50Hz, it starts the submerged motor and monitors what the motor draws, tripping on over-current before a fault has time to damage the winding. Common causes are a jammed impeller, sand ingress, a weak capacitor or a poor supply, and all of them are cheaper to catch at the surface than to discover when the pump is hauled up.
Install it in the pump house or another sheltered spot close to the wellhead, wired between the incoming supply and the pump cable, with the enclosure kept dry and the cable glands properly made off. Use it only with the pump model it is matched to.
