About this product
Matched to the EMTOP EWPPD11001 deep well pump, this control box provides the starting and protection gear that a submersible motor cannot carry inside the bore. It is a required part of the installation rather than an accessory.
Supply is 220-240V at 50Hz, and the box includes over-current protection that interrupts power when the motor begins pulling more current than its rating allows. On a heavier pump like the 1100W unit, that margin matters: a fault left running will overheat the winding long before anyone at the tap notices a change in flow.
Keep the box in a dry, ventilated position near the wellhead, with proper glanding and earthing, and leave the cover secured in normal use. It also serves as the replacement box where lightning, a supply surge or water ingress has taken out the original on an existing EWPPD11001 installation.
