About this product
Breaking concrete is a question of weight and joules, and the EDBRH1701 brings 16kg of tool to bear on 45 joules per blow. It is aimed at demolition gangs, drainage crews and contractors taking up slabs, screeds and blinding where a jackhammer is the right tool but a compressor is not available.
The motor draws 1700W from a 220-240V supply and drives the chisel at 1400 blows per minute, a steady rate that keeps material breaking rather than compacting. A hex chuck system takes standard hex steels and changes them quickly on site. Two chisels are supplied to start with, along with a set of spare carbon brushes so a worn pair does not put the tool out of service. It ships in a BMC case.
Typical use covers slab and floor breaking, removing plinths and kerbs, taking out blockwork and brick piers, trenching through hardstanding for services, and stripping thick screed and tile beds before a new floor is laid.
