When a conductor has to be cut flush against a terminal or a board, angled jaws do what a combination plier cannot. The EMTOP EPLRD0711 is a 7 inch (180mm) diagonal cutter, the size most electricians, panel builders and maintenance technicians settle on for daily use.

The jaws meet at an angle that lets the cutting edges sit flat against a surface, leaving no protruding tail behind on a cable tie or a soldered lead. At 180mm the handles give enough leverage for copper conductors and light steel wire while the tool still fits comfortably in a pouch. The pliers are polished and coated with anti-rust oil to protect the edges and pivot during storage, and the two-colour handle gives a firm hold when repeated cuts are being made.

Suited to trimming conductors in consumer units and control panels, cutting cable ties after bundling, stripping out old wiring, electronics and appliance repair, and light fencing and mesh work.
