Core drilling through concrete, block and masonry calls for a dedicated machine, and this 2800W diamond drill is built for that work. Plumbers, electricians, air conditioning installers and structural contractors use it to form openings for pipework, ducting, cable routes, extractor vents and anchor positions.

Maximum drilling diameter is 200mm at a working speed of 800rpm, the slow, high-torque range that diamond segments need to cut rather than glaze. The machine comes with its own drilling stand, which is what makes accurate coring possible: the stand holds the bit square to the surface and lets the operator feed it steadily instead of fighting the reaction torque by hand. Cores are held on an M22 spindle thread, the common fitting for bits in this class.

A leakage protection switch is fitted in the supply lead, an important feature where water is used to cool the bit, and a spare set of carbon brushes is included.
