Where a job involves motor control, solar arrays or three-phase plant, the meter has to do more than read volts. This 6000-count true RMS instrument adds frequency and duty cycle measurement, a 10A current range and stated accuracy figures for each function, so results can be recorded with confidence.

DC voltage reaches 1000V and AC voltage 750V, with current measured from 60 microamps up to 10A on both AC and DC. Resistance extends to 60 megohms and capacitance to 100mF, while frequency is covered from 10Hz to 10MHz and duty cycle from 1 to 95 per cent. Non-contact voltage detection also distinguishes live line from neutral, which saves guesswork at an unlabelled socket. A backlight lights the display, a separate flash light lights the terminal you are probing, and a low battery indicator flags failing cells.

Suited to panel building, generator and inverter work, pump and motor diagnostics, and any installation where waveform distortion would mislead an averaging meter. Two AA cells are included.
