Holes drilled by hand are rarely square, which is the whole argument for a bench drill press. This 350W machine gives a workshop accurate, repeatable holes in steel, timber and plastics, and is a common first pillar drill for jua kali workshops, school workshops, small fabrication shops and serious home users.

Five spindle speeds from 580 to 2650rpm let the speed be matched to the material and the bit diameter, slow for large holes in steel and fast for small bits in timber. Chuck capacity is 13mm and the spindle travels 50mm in one stroke. The working table adjusts for height and tilts for angled work, measuring 160 x 160mm, and it runs on a 46mm column.
