EMTOP Electric Soldering Iron 40W and 60W EESL Series

Two ratings cover most bench and field soldering, and this pair gives the choice: a 40W iron for boards, wiring and light joints, and a 60W iron where the work draws heat away faster. Electricians, electronics technicians, panel builders and radio and appliance repairers all keep one of each within reach.

Both irons run from a 220-240V supply and reach working temperature in three to five minutes, so a quick repair does not turn into a wait. Each has a straight tip head, which is the most useful general shape for terminals, tags and through-hole work, and each comes with a support to rest the hot iron safely on the bench. The tips are long life and replaceable, so a worn or pitted tip is changed rather than the whole iron being discarded.

Choose the 40W for circuit boards, connectors and fine wiring, and the 60W for heavier cable, tinning, larger terminals and jointing where a smaller iron would struggle to keep temperature.
