Hot melt adhesive fixes what screws and nails cannot, and the EGGU1401 is the everyday gun for it. Workshops, signmakers, upholsterers, craft and model makers, and households keeping a repair kit all find a use for one.

It draws 20W in normal use with a 100W rating on demand, and lays down 15 to 22 grams of adhesive a minute, so a bead can be run along a joint at a steady pace without the flow drying ahead of the work. A mechanical feed system meters the stick sensitively, which allows both a fine dot and a fast run from the same trigger. Standard 11.2mm glue sticks are used, and two 150mm sticks are supplied to begin with. The gun runs from a 220-240V supply.

Manufacturer guidance puts it to adhesive attachment, model making, repairing, sealing and jointing. In practice that means fixing trim and beading, tacking fabric and foam, sealing small gaps, mounting signage and display work, and holding parts while a slower adhesive cures.
