Blind rivets join sheet where there is access to only one side, which is exactly the situation in ducting, gutters and vehicle panels. The EMTOP EHRR101 is a 10.5 inch hand riveter for sheet metal workers, HVAC installers, panel beaters, signwriters and maintenance teams.

Long handles give the mechanical advantage needed to set the larger rivet sizes by hand, and the tool covers four applicable rivet diameters: 2.4mm for light trim and thin sheet, 3.2mm and 4mm for general sheet and bracket work, and 4.8mm where a stronger joint is required. Changing between sizes is a matter of swapping the nose piece, so one tool covers the range rather than four separate riveters.

Typical work includes assembling ducting and gutters, fixing mabati and sheet cladding, repairing vehicle and machinery panels, mounting signs and nameplates, joining aluminium sections, and general fabrication where welding is not practical. Riveting also suits thin or coated sheet that heat would distort or scorch, and the finished joint needs no curing time before the assembly is handled.
