About this product
For cutting timber by hand, blade length decides how much work each stroke does. At 400mm (16 inch) the EMTOP EHAS4002 is the handy size, short enough to control in a confined space yet long enough to cut boards and battens efficiently, which suits carpenters, formwork crews, farm workshops and household use.
The blade is 65Mn spring steel, heat treated and rolled to 0.9mm thick, a combination that resists buckling in the cut while keeping the kerf narrow. Teeth are cut at 7 TPI and ground extra sharp, a coarse pitch that clears sawdust quickly through softwood and construction timber. The handle carries a three-colour soft grip, and a teeth protector is supplied to keep the edge safe in a bag and to guard hands when the saw is stored.
Use it for cutting studs, battens and rafters, sizing boards and plywood, pruning and rough garden work, cutting formwork and shuttering, and general carpentry around the site or home.
