Larger slotted insulated screwdriver carrying a 5.5mm tip on a 125mm round shank. The wider blade and extra length suit main switch terminals, isolators, motor terminal boxes and any fixing set deeper inside an enclosure.

Chrome vanadium steel underpins the blade so the tip holds its shape against the higher torque a 5.5mm slot invites. Insulation rated at 1000 V covers the shank, and the new-design handle offers enough diameter to apply that torque without the tool rolling in the hand.

It earns its keep on distribution boards, generator panels, pumps and machinery servicing, where terminal screws are larger and access is often awkward. Keep it alongside the 4.0mm size so both common slot widths are covered on site. Match the tip width to the slot as closely as you can, since a narrow blade in a wide slot puts all the load on one corner and spoils both screw and driver. Store it where the insulation will not be crushed under heavier items in the bag.
