Runtime is the reason to choose the 4.0Ah pack. Twice the capacity of the smaller battery, it suits the tools that draw hardest on the P20S platform, a rotary hammer, a pressure washer or a brush cutter, where a light pack is emptied before the task is finished.

An LED power indicator reports the remaining charge at a glance, so packs can be sorted into full and flat before leaving the workshop. The extra cells add weight, which is a fair trade on a tool used from the ground or on a strap and less so overhead, and many crews carry one of each size for that reason. As with the rest of the range, one battery fits all P20S tools, so the pack is never tied to a single machine.

Use it as the main pack on demanding tools, as a second battery to keep a charger cycle going, or as a replacement for a pack that no longer holds its charge.
