Bypass lopper with 760mm handles for cutting branches up to 40mm in diameter. Groundsmen, landscapers, smallholders and estate teams use a tool of this length to reach into a canopy and take a limb cleanly without setting up a ladder.

A gear bypass mechanism multiplies the force reaching the blade, so thicker branches part with less effort at the handles. Blades are formed from 55# carbon steel and heat treated, then given a PTFE non-stick coating that helps the cut run through green wood and sap without binding.

Bypass jaws slice past one another like secateurs, leaving a clean cut face that heals better than the crushed edge an anvil pattern leaves behind. Use it for shaping hedges, thinning fruit trees, clearing shrubs along fence lines and tidying up after storm damage. Cut just outside the branch collar rather than flush against the trunk, and clean the blade between trees when working through diseased material. A wipe with an oily rag afterwards keeps the coating in good order.
