Mini bolt cutter at 8 in overall, intended for cropping wire, small bolts, mesh, chain and padlock shackles up to 3.5mm. The short body is easy to work one-handed and fits a tool bag or pouch that a full-size cutter would never suit.

Blades are chrome molybdenum steel, a material chosen for shear strength at the cutting edge, and the head is finished in black and polished. A TPR three-colour handle gives a firm, comfortable grip, and a lock at the end of the handles holds the jaws closed so the tool travels safely.

Fencers, electricians, mesh installers and maintenance teams use cutters of this size for reinforcement tie wire, chain-link repairs, threaded rod offcuts and general site work where a hacksaw would be slow. Keep the jaws clean and lightly oiled to preserve the edge. Take the material as deep into the jaws as it will go, since cutting at the tips loads the wrong part of the edge and is the usual reason a blade chips.
