Mixing by hand wastes time and rarely gives an even batch. The EMXR14001 is a 1400W hand-held mixer for plasterers, tilers, screeders and decorators working with mortar, adhesive, render, filler and paint on site.

Two speed ranges are available, zero to 500rpm and zero to 750rpm, which lets a heavy sand and cement mix be turned slowly while thinner material such as paint or self-levelling compound is brought up faster. Drive runs through an aluminium gear box, chosen for heat dissipation and rigidity under the side loads a paddle generates in a stiff mix. An integrated work light helps in a dim room or a bucket, a mixing pad is supplied with the tool, and a set of spare carbon brushes is included. The M14 thread accepts standard paddles as the material changes.

It handles tile adhesive and grout, plaster and render, screed and mortar batches, self-levelling compound, and stirring paint and coatings back to an even consistency before spraying or rolling.
