Roller covers are consumables. Once the pile is clogged or matted the finish suffers, and swapping the sleeve costs far less than the time spent chasing an uneven coat.

This refill slides onto a standard roller frame and is used the usual way: load evenly from the tray, lay the paint on in sections and finish with light passes in one direction to leave the surface uniform.

Painters and decorators keep several on hand so a job can carry on between colours; rinse them out thoroughly if they are to be reused.
