Long grass needs line, woody scrub needs a blade, and this machine takes both. Supplied as a trimmer and a brush cutter, it covers roadside verges, compound maintenance, plot clearing, shamba edges and grounds work where the vegetation changes from soft to woody within a few metres.

An air cooled two-stroke petrol engine of 42.7cc produces 1.25kW and runs up to 8000rpm, driving a cutting path of 420mm. The fuel tank holds 1200ml for long sessions away from a refill point, fed through a double-deck PUR inlet pipe, and an NGK spark plug is fitted. The tube is removable, which makes the machine far easier to carry in a vehicle or store in a locked shed.

In the box are a line spool, a 3-tooth 255mm brush cutter blade, a double standard harness that spreads the weight across both shoulders, and a tool kit for changing between the two heads.
