Larger premises need a set that can take a real inrush without stalling. The EMTOP EGGRD5511 is a 220-240V petrol generator rated 5.0kW continuous with 5.5kW available on peak, the working size for guest houses, restaurants, medium workshops, salons with heating appliances and small manufacturing units.

A 389mL four-stroke OHV engine drives a copper coil alternator, and copper windings hold their output better under sustained load than aluminium. T.C.I ignition and air cooling keep the engine simple, while starting is by key with a recoil pull kept in reserve. Fuel capacity is a substantial 25L, and although the machine weighs 77kg dry, an auxiliary handle set and wheels come fitted so two people can reposition it.

It suits standby duty for hospitality and retail, powering welding and grinding on site, water pumps and workshop machinery, agricultural processing, and any installation where a mid-sized single-phase supply must be held up through an outage.
