Lawns beyond the reach of an extension lead are the reason petrol mowers exist. This hand push model cuts a 460mm swathe, a practical width for compounds, schools, guest houses, churches and larger domestic gardens where the grass is cut weekly.

Power comes from a 141cc four-stroke Zongshen engine rated at 3.0kW, or 4HP, running at 2600rpm and producing 6.5Nm of torque. Cutting height adjusts from 25mm to 75mm across seven positions, so the same mower can take a close summer cut or be raised for rough or recovering grass. Clippings collect in a 60 litre catcher, which reduces how often the operator has to stop and empty.

The deck is steel rather than plastic, standing up better to knocks from stones and edging, and the machine runs on 6" front and 8" rear wheels. Being four-stroke, it takes straight petrol with oil in the sump rather than a mixture.
