Doubling the port size roughly doubles the volume, and that is why contractors keep a 3 inch pump on the lorry. The EMTOP EGWP8012 has 80mm suction and discharge ports and is built for farmers, irrigation crews, borehole and tank installers and builders clearing water from open ground.

The same 7.0HP petrol engine of 208cc used on the smaller unit drives this pump, so the 32m maximum head is retained while flow rises to 1000 litres per minute. Recoil starting keeps the machine simple with no battery to charge, suction reaches 8m below the pump, and the 3.6L fuel tank stays small enough that the unit remains portable by two people.

It handles field and orchard irrigation, filling raised storage tanks and water bowsers, emptying dams, ponds and pits, washing down plant, yards and vehicles, and drainage of foundations and trenches during the rains. Fitting the shortest practical suction hose and keeping the strainer clear of silt will help the pump hold its rated flow on site.
