Plumbers and pipe fitters joining plastic water lines need a heat welder that reaches working temperature quickly and holds it steady through a run of joints. This EMTOP plastic tube welding outfit is built for that work and arrives as a complete kit in a metal box, so a fundi can move between workshop and site without hunting for loose sockets.

The welder runs on a 220-240V supply and draws 800W or 1500W depending on the heating element in use, with a working temperature range of 0 to 300 degrees Celsius. Six welding sockets cover 20, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63mm pipe, and the case also holds a pipe cutter, a screwdriver, a tape and a hex key so a joint can be measured, cut and fused from one kit.
