EMTOP Putty Trowel 60mm to 150mm Stainless Steel

Putty trowels for plasterers, painters and decorators who fill, skim and finish surfaces before painting. The blade is broad enough to feather a filler out to nothing yet flexible enough to follow a wall that is not perfectly true.

Each blade is stainless steel, heat treated and fine polished, a combination that stops rust marking light-coloured filler and lets the blade release cleanly from the material. The double-colour plastic handle is shaped to sit low against the blade, so pressure goes into the work rather than the wrist.

The range runs from 60mm through to 150mm. Narrow widths get into cracks, corners, screw holes and beading, while the wider blades cover open areas of wall and patched plaster in fewer passes. Many finishers keep two or three widths to hand and change size as the job moves from filling to final skimming. Clean the blade before filler sets on it, since dried material along the edge drags tram lines across the next pass and creates work that has to be sanded out.
