EMTOP Spirit Level 40cm to 100cm V-Groove ESLL2

A level is only as good as the reference face it sits on, which is why this box-section spirit level is milled on both sides. The machined surfaces sit flat against blockwork, timber and steel, and the reading is the same whichever way the level is turned.

Vials are accurate to 0.5mm per metre and are read easily from above or from the side. The body is 1.5mm thick, giving the beam enough stiffness to bridge an opening without flexing, and a V-shaped slot along one face seats the level on pipes, conduit and other round surfaces so that a plumb or level reading can be taken on services as well as on flat work. It is supplied in 40cm, 60cm, 80cm and 100cm lengths: the shorter sizes suit boxes, brackets and cabinet work, while the 100cm is the general bricklaying and door-frame length.

Masons, plumbers, carpenters, electricians and steel fixers all keep more than one length to hand, and hardware shops sell the range as a set.
