Spring clamp at 4 in (100mm), the fastest way to hold two pieces together while glue grabs or a fixing goes in. One squeeze opens the jaws and releasing them applies the pressure, so the clamp can be placed and set with a single hand.

Clamping force is 12kg, enough for light joinery, holding a template, pinning fabric or sheet against a frame and keeping a cable or hose out of the way. The black clip body is compact, and the jaws open to a maximum of 50mm, which covers most board thicknesses and small sections.

Workshops keep a handful of these on a rail because they cost little and save time on tasks that do not justify a bar clamp. Useful for signage, upholstery, model work, tarpaulins and holding a spirit level or straight edge steady during marking out. A piece of card or rubber under the jaws protects a finished face, and a pair of these will hold a straight edge steady while a line is scribed across a sheet.
