Heavier 1500g stoning hammer for masons working larger stone and for site tasks that need more mass behind each blow. The extra 500g over the one-kilogram version does the work for you on split lines and stubborn mortar beds.

Its head is drop forged from 45# carbon steel and heat treated, giving a striking face that stands up to repeated contact with stone, chisels and pins. The fibreglass handle takes the recoil out of a heavy strike and holds its bond to the head through hot, dry conditions that loosen a wooden shaft.

Reach for it when squaring building stone, breaking out old render, driving heavy chisels and wedges, or knocking down blockwork during alterations. Wear eye protection whenever stone or concrete is being struck, as chips travel further than expected. Replace a damaged handle rather than working on with it, since a head that has begun to loosen is a danger to everyone standing nearby. Dress off the burr that forms on the striking face with heavy use.
