Long straight aviation snip measuring 300mm, made for sheet metal workers, roofers, ducting installers and anyone who trims thin material to a line. The extended body carries the cut further with each stroke, which speeds up long straight runs.

Compound jaws convert hand pressure into cutting force at the blade, so the tool takes tough material without demanding a heavy squeeze. A three-tone soft handle spreads that pressure across the palm and reduces the hot spots that appear during repetitive cutting.

The snip handles plastic and rubber sheet as well as 0.5mm brass wire net, making it useful for gutter and flashing work, insulation, mesh, packaging and light fabrication. Straight-pattern jaws are the right choice when the cut line runs ahead of the tool rather than curving away. Guide the waste so it curls away from the hand as the cut progresses, and keep the pivot lightly oiled so the compound linkage stays free. Gloves are worth wearing, because a freshly cut sheet edge is sharp.
