Cutting a clean chase for conduit and pipe is far quicker than hacking one out, and the EMCR15001 is built for exactly that. Electricians, plumbers and first-fix crews working in blockwork, brick and render are the buyers.

A 1500W motor spins twin 125mm discs at 10500rpm on an M14 spindle. Depth is adjustable from 3 to 29mm and width from 8 to 30mm, so a chase can be set to suit anything from a single cable to a run of conduit or a pipe. Cutting to a set depth on both edges leaves a defined slot, and the waste between the cuts is knocked out with the chisel supplied. An auxiliary handle gives two-handed control along a marked line, and four cutting discs and a set of spare carbon brushes come with the tool.

Use it for chasing walls for cable, conduit and trunking, cutting in back boxes and switch drops, forming channels for pipework and floor heating, and scoring lines for controlled removal of render and screed.
