Foot Valve for Water Pumps 4 Inch Suction Non-Return

A foot valve fits at the bottom of a pump's suction pipe and does two jobs at once. It holds water in the line when the pump stops, so the pump does not lose its prime, and it screens the pipe against leaves, weed and grit while the pump runs.

Sized at 4 inch, this valve suits the larger suction lines used by surface pumps drawing from rivers, dams, sumps and open storage tanks. Without a working foot valve a non self priming pump has to be refilled by hand at every start.
