MODI 4 Way Extension Socket 13A 3250W 3m MD-HWA9040

Four outlets on a single three-metre lead, the MODI MD-HWA9040-30 is the version most people reach for once a desk or entertainment unit has grown past three plugs. It is the same build as the three-way MD-HWA9030 with an extra outlet on the block.

Cable is PVC 3 core by 1.25mm ending in a British Standard 1363 plug. The unit carries a maximum rating of 13 amps at 250V, 50/60Hz and a maximum power rating of 3250 watts across all four outlets combined, with insulation resistance quoted at 5 megohms. The body is moulded ABS and the contacts are copper, so the outlets keep their grip on plug pins instead of loosening after a season of use.

It works well behind a TV stand feeding a decoder, sound bar and router, at a computer desk, or on a workshop bench. A 5m cable version of the same model is produced for longer runs. Anything with a heating element should be counted carefully against the 3250W total. Cartons contain 24 pieces.
