MODI B1 Glossy 25A Outlet M1-034 Heavy Appliance Point

Heavy fixed loads need their own point rather than a 13A socket working at its limit. The M1-034 is a 25A outlet from the V1-034 series, supplied on MODI's B1 Glossy plate in glossy grey, glossy gold and glossy silver.

The higher rating is the reason to specify it: water heaters, air conditioners, cookers and similar appliances that are wired in permanently and drawn from a dedicated circuit. Current-carrying parts are selected copper, formed by one-piece moulding, which matters more at 25A than anywhere else in a domestic installation because a loose or corroded contact at that current is where heat builds. Wiring is made at internal terminals, and the panel is high quality PC, self-extinguishing and flame retardant.

Installers fit these in kitchens, bathrooms with instant heaters, bedrooms with split air conditioning and small commercial kitchens, on a circuit sized and protected for the appliance at the distribution board. Because the plate matches the rest of the B1 Glossy range, the appliance point reads as part of the same set as the sockets beside it. Packed 100 pieces per carton.
