MODI Bakelite 13A Switched Socket Single Pole MD-KJM010

This is the plain 13 amp switched socket that most of a wiring schedule is made of. The MD-KJM010 is a one gang, single pole switched socket outlet in MODI's Bakelite range, listed under model MD-HWD5037.

Single pole switching breaks the live conductor at the plate, which is the standard arrangement for a domestic socket outlet in this market. Current-carrying parts are selected copper, one-piece moulded, so the shutters and contacts hold their tension through years of plugging and unplugging rather than going slack. Terminals are wired internally for a faster, tidier second fix, and the panel is high quality PC that is self-extinguishing and flame retardant.
