MODI Bakelite 2 Gang 2 Way Plate Switch Surface Mount

Two lighting circuits, one plate. The MD-KJM004 is the two gang, two way switch in the MODI bakelite range, the usual choice where a room has separate lights on the same wall, or where a single plate needs to handle a room light and a security light.

Each gang is wired as a two way switch, so either or both can form part of a pair controlling a light from two positions, a corridor or a staircase being the common case. The plate is moulded bakelite, a tough thermoset that takes daily handling without marking easily. Inside, selected copper parts carry the current and resist electrical corrosion, and the one-piece moulded body keeps the mechanisms in alignment through years of switching. Internal wiring means the conductors terminate within the box, which is worth having when four or more cores have to be dressed into a single position.
