Decorative rather than functional, the MD-B0404-G45 is a 4W amber golf ball lamp on a B22 bayonet cap. The 2700K colour and tinted glass give the warm, low-glare look people want in exposed fittings, where the lamp itself is part of what you see rather than something hidden behind a shade.

The lamp is built from aluminium and glass, so heat leaves through a metal path while the visible envelope stays traditional in appearance. Output is 480 lumens spread over a full 360 degree beam, which matters in open fittings and cluster pendants where light has to leave the lamp in every direction rather than being thrown forward. Colour rendering is rated at 80 or above and the manufacturer quotes a 25,000 hour life span. It runs on standard mains at AC220-240V with an operating window down to 175V and up to 265V, which gives some tolerance on unstable supply.
